Here you will find a listing of some commonly asked questions about Grace Baptist Church…

  1. What should I expect if I attend a church service? – On Sundays at 11:00, we gather together for worship. The song portion of our service lasts for about 20 minutes, while the remainder of the time is spent listening to Bible preaching. Our service last approximately an hour.
  2. Is it okay to bring my children into the Worship service? – Yes, this is not a problem. Some young children may find it difficult to leave their parents in an unfamiliar setting.  We hope that families who begin to attend our church will come to appreciate the value of their children developing close friendships with their peers in the context of the local church. However, we do have three different children’s and youth churches going on simultaneously with our regular worship service. Every fifth service we have a combined service.
  3. What version of Bible does the church use? –  We teach and preach from the King James Bible.  We believe, that for the  English speaking people, it is the inspired, preserved Word of God.
  4. What type of music can I expect to hear? – We primarily sing the traditional hymns and songs of the faith such as; Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, There is Power in the Blood, To God Be the Glory, etc…On the third Sunday night of each month, we have a sing night when many will sing a special and others will pick their favorite hymn for the congregation to sing.
  5. Is there a dress standard at your church? – There is no specific dress code for those attending our service. We do however,  teach and preach that our dress should honor the Lord and follow the Bible.
  6. How big is Grace Baptist Church? – At the time of this writing, we have any where from 60-70 people who attend on Sunday morning with an additional 30-40 children from our bus ministry.
  7. What type of preaching will I hear? -Preaching is the center of the worship service. Bro. J.D. preaches as the Holy Spirit directs him to do so. Sometimes he will preach a series. Sometimes he will will preach topical but his favorite style of preaching is expository.
  8. Do you have a teen program? – Yes, we have a close-nit friendly teen group.  Ministries like Teens 4 Christ on Wednesday nights is a great place for teens to get engaged at Church.
  9. How long has Grace Baptist Church existed? – Grace Baptist Church has a long history in Conway, Arkansas reaching back over 4 decades. Our current pastor is Bro JD Tyson.
  10. Who leads the church? – While we believe that the church itself is the final authority in all matters of church government, we realize God has given us a pastor to lead us.
